Ingredients

Flavored Butter Options: Add any of the following ingredient combinations to ½ cup (1 stick) softened butter.

Pesto Butter: Excellent with Del Monte® Carrots, Green Beans, Corn or Peas

  • 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
  • 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted pine nuts or chopped toasted slivered almonds
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper

Lemon Honey Mustard Butter: Excellent with Del Monte® Green Beans, Corn, Peas or Carrots

  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme or 3/4 tsp. fresh thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed dried rosemary or 1/2 tsp. finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. sea salt

Garlic Lime Chili Butter: Excellent with Del Monte® Corn, Green Beans, Peas or Carrots

  • 1 1/2 tsp. lime zest
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne, optional
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt

    Garlic Lime Chili Butter 

 

Mild Curry Butter: Excellent with Del Monte® Peas, Green Beans, Corn or Carrots

  • 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onion or chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp. packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric, optional
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt

    Mild Curry Butter
Directions
  1. Mix: Combine ingredients from one of the flavored butter options above in a medium bowl; add ½ cup (1 stick) softened butter and mix well with a rubber spatula until ingredients are evenly distributed throughout butter.
  2. Chill: Spoon butter onto a piece of parchment paper, and shape into a log. Roll tightly in parchment paper, twisting or tying the ends. Refrigerate up to 3 days or freeze to up 3 months.
  3. Toss: Heat Del Monte® vegetables according to label directions; drain. Slice off desired amount of butter and toss with hot vegetables.
