Ingredients

1 can Del Monte Hot Honey Sliced Carrots, drained 

15 oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 

1/4 cup tahini 

1 tbsp lemon juice 

1 garlic clove, minced 

1/2 tsp ground cumin 

1/4 tsp smoked paprika 

2 tbsp olive oil, plus more for drizzling 

Salt to taste 

For topping: chili flakes, fresh parsley, a swirl of hot honey and olive oil

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine the carrots, chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika and a generous pinch of salt.

  2. Blend until mostly smooth, scraping down sides as needed.

  3. Add warm water a tablespoon at a time until the texture is creamy and spreadable. Typically about 2-3 tbsp of water. 

  4. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil, honey, and fresh parsley or chili flakes.*

*For a spicier hummus, add an additional 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes.
