Ingredients

2 cans (15 oz. each) Del Monte® Fruit Delights™ Cinnamon Sliced Pears 

1 Tbsp. unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Drain pears with a colander set over a 2-cup measuring cup or small bowl; save syrup and set aside. 

  2. Melt butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat; add pears and cook 6 to 8 minutes, without stirring, until slices are browned on the bottom. 

  3. Gently flip pears and stir in syrup. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Cook 3 to 4 minutes to reduce syrup. 

  4. Remove from heat; let stand about 5 minutes for syrup to thicken and cool slightly before serving.

Tips & Tricks: 

  • Balsamic Caramelized Pears – Add 1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar with syrup in Step 3. 
  • Rosemary Caramelized Pears – Add a 3-inch sprig of fresh rosemary with syrup in Step 3; remove after stand time. 
  • Leftovers – Store any leftovers in refrigerator up to 3 days. Slowly reheat in the microwave before serving.
