Ingredients

1 can (15 oz.) Del Monte® Fruit Delights™ Salted Caramel Sliced Pears, not drained 

1 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt or cottage cheese 

1 small ripe banana, sliced, frozen or room temperature 

Optional Toppings

Toppings for fun flavor, color, crunch or protein: Mini pretzels, mini chocolate chips, nuts (peanuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds), berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries), granola, toasted coconut, dates, dried cranberries, dried cherries, flaxseeds, more Del Monte® Fruit Delights™ Salted Caramel Sliced Pears, cut into chunks

Directions

  1. Add contents of pear can, yogurt or cottage cheese and banana to a blender. Secure with lid and blend about 30 seconds until smooth. 
     

  2. Enjoy as a smoothie bowl or a smoothie beverage. 

Preparation for:
  • Smoothie Bowl: Pour 1 to 1 1/2 cups into a bowl; add toppings, as desired.
  • Smoothie: Add 4 ice cubes to the blender in Step 1, if desired. Stir in some toppings for an extra treat.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Frozen Bananas - Slice and freeze bananas in 1/2 large or 1 small banana portions in individual freezer bags. 
  • Extra Flavor – Add 2 tsp. espresso powder or cocoa powder before blending. 
  • Extra Protein – Add 2 Tbsp. peanut butter or almond butter before blending. 
  • Leftovers – Store any leftovers in refrigerator up to 24 hours. Or pour into popsicle molds, insert sticks and freeze.
